CELLA & ASSOCIATES WINS MEDICAL WIAVER FOR NATURALIZATION
Cella & Associates wins a medical waiver for naturalization allowing the applicant to become a U.S. Citizen without having to pass the U.S. Civics and Government examination.
This week, Cella & Associates prevailed in an application for a medical waiver for naturalization, allowing the applicant to become a U.S. Citizen without having to pass the U.S. Civics and Government examination. Generally, with certain exceptions, and applicant for naturalization must meet certain requirements among which are a basic understanding of written and spoken English as well as U.S. Civics and Government. However, if an applicant can demonstrate, with the affirmation of a licensed physician, that he or she cannot learn/retain/demonstrate such understandings due to bona fide physiological reasons, he or she will be exempted from such requirements and will be permitted to naturalize. Such applications are carefully scrutinized by the Immigration Service as the possibility of fraud is significant. however, this week CELLA & ASSOCIATES was successful in our efforts to have such a waiver granted for a 70-year-old Egyptian woman, (GA), who had no other waiver available to her. Congratulations to GA and the lawyers and Staff at C & A. This application was presented by Joseph G. Cella, Esq.
