DHS is making additional H-2B temporary nonagricultural worker visas available for the second half of 2022. Employers who are looking for additional workers may qualify for some of the additional 35,000 visas that will be made available. The H-2B visa allows temporary noncitizens to work in primarily nonagricultural jobs in the United States. The visas are divided into two categories. The first category will allow 23,500 visas to those workers who are returning and received or were granted H-2B status in one of the last three fiscal years. The remaining visas (11,500) will be granted to nationals of El Salvador, Haiti, Guatemala and Honduras to help with seasonal employee shortages.
