February 19, 2022The Supreme Court will hear arguments in April regarding the “Remain in Mexico” policy in which asylum seekers must remain in outside of the US while waiting for their asylum hearings. The Biden Administration is now facing a lawsuit filed by Texas and Missouri to prevent it from rescinding the Remain in Mexico protocols which were put into effect during the Trump Administration. The Department of Homeland Security was asked by Texas and Missouri to revive the protocols stating that the Biden Administration had improperly reversed them.
