The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has announced in the Federal Register the extension of Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for nationals from Ukraine, Sudan, and Venezuela, due to ongoing conflicts and extraordinary conditions that prevent safe return.
Ukraine: TPS is extended for 18 months, from April 20, 2025, to October 19, 2026. This decision is based on the armed conflict and extraordinary and temporary conditions within Ukraine.
Sudan: TPS is extended for 18 months, from April 20, 2025, to October 19, 2026. The extension is due to the continuing armed conflict and extraordinary and temporary conditions in Sudan.
Venezuela: The 2023 TPS designation for Venezuela is extended for 18 months, from April 3, 2025, to October 2, 2026. This extension is also due to extraordinary and temporary conditions in the country.
